What’s the difference between a manufactured, mobile and modular home? Manufactured and mobile homes are essentially the same type of housing. However, the term ‘manufactured’ is now used in place of ‘mobile.’ Both manufactured and modular homes are built in a factory however, manufactured homes adhere to strict federal HUD code standards, while modular homes are constructed to meet state or local codes.
Do they use the same building materials as regular site/stick-built homes? Manufactured homes are constructed with the same materials as site-built homes but in a controlled factory environment, resulting in superior quality. Can I customize my home when I order it? Yes! You can extend or decrease your floor plan and choose features and options from additional rooms to paint color, flooring, windows, doors, ceilings, cabinetry, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, lighting, and more. Why is my final price different than the price listed? Much like buying a car, there are standard and upgrade features. Our models include upgrades to provide ideas however, prices listed are the starting price with no options based on a cash purchase. How long does it take to get my home installed after it’s ordered? After the permits are submitted to the county, it usually takes 8 to 12 weeks with and an additional 45 to 60 days to undergo final state inspections and attach it to your property.
